School Days!!

Today was a big day for us. Riley started Kindergarten. Yesterday we went to orientation and she met her teacher, found her cubby and her desk. She was so excited. This morning when I took her to school she did great. I walked her into her class and had to remind her I needed a hug and kiss! I am so proud of her and excited for this chapter in her life. It made me so happy to see how independent and courageous she is. She did get to start the school year off right by being the kid with a great story to tell. On Saturday I received a phone call from her daddy that he thought she had broke her arm and unfortunately he was right. However her splint (we are waiting to go to see the orthopedist) made everyone ask her what happened and she enjoyed the attention. When I picked her up she was all smiles which just warmed my heart. Picking her up is actually where I caught myself being a lil teary eyed. Seeing her walk out of school I saw just how grown she is! We went on a special outing to Sonic and sat and talked about her day. I asked her if she wanted to go back tomorrow and she cheerfully replied "yes! I love school. It's so fun!!" KK did well today to as it was her first day at preschool without her sister. She was a lil down when we dropped Ry off at school but when I picked her up she said "I didn't even miss Riley at all mom and I have a new friend!!" I love my girls so much!!

Today started a new chapter in my life as well. I'm officially a college student again. It felt so weird being on a college campus. I felt a little out of place. I am looking forward though to the opportunities that are ahead!
